The annual "Joy of the Child" Christmas concert was held at the First Baptist Church of Carolina Beach on December 2, 2007.

One of the performers at this years concert was Ashley Farmer, who performed "Only Hope", a song popularized by Mandy Moore. Ashley currently resides on Salisbury, North Carolina with her husband, Tommy, and two children, Sarah and Ben.
